Unfortunately, Kentucky lost their second straight game, as they struggled on the offensive end down the stretch in a close game with the Buckeyes.
The first half was a fast-paced game with both teams trading baskets.
Each team answered the others big shots with big shots of their own and at the break, it was Ohio State with the 37-36 lead.
The second half was just like the first half, as each team exchanged big shots and made big time plays defensively.
However, in the end it was the Buckeyes that emerged victorious with a 71-65 win.
He was excellent again today as he finished with 14 points, 9 assists, 3 steals and a rebound.
However, the MVP of this one goes to a guy in his second game back from injury, and that is Nate Sestina.
Cal said earlier in the week that he wants to run plays to get Nate more opportunities from three. That is what he did by running pick and pop plays for him to have open looks from deep.
Sestina took advantage of those chances as he was 5/8 from deep and finished with a season-high 17 points. He also had 4 rebounds and an assist.
This team has struggled with three-point shooting, but if he can provide a consistent threat from deep, then that will open up driving lanes for Hagans and Tyrese Maxey.
